After posting on her Twitter page “With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to #IDOL. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent,” the news of Paula’s stepping down from the show took many by surprise. The reason? She was being offered half of the pay she wanted.
Sources say that singer may have squeezed too hard the cash cow, reportedly wanting a 20-million-dollar contract, about 7 million dollars more that she was earning per year, not including endorsements.
OK! What’s wrong with this picture? The economy is in shambles and pill-popper diva wants almost double just so that she can keep her bottles full? That’s another MJ case in the works!
In her Twitter page, which over 800 thousand people follow, she went on posting “I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all being a part of a show that I helped from day1become an international phenomenon … I do without any doubt have the BEST fans in the entire world and I love you all.”
There is no word on what’s next on her agenda but her 7-year AI career was pretty good with her; she came back from the shadows and was put right on center stage to make something better of herself, other than doping herself of course.
Reportedly she also has a 13.5 million-dollar record contract and we are just wondering if she’ll be sober enough pull off yet another boring album.
And so this confirms what many had said before, Kara DioGuardi will be replacing Abdul after all. Cheap stuff always comes handy.
