Now that New York City girls have gone shutter-happy taking pictures of subway flashers who are later featured on the city’s newspapers, men must be avoiding unintended erections that may catch the spying eye of a camera phone.
That’s pretty much how a Subwayrista.com contributor puts it on this blog that features daily stories of subway riders.
“I felt scanned and watched by this woman,” he says, when a morning subway commute turned into his worst nightmare. According to the blogger nicknamed “justanormalguy,” he may have been harassed by a woman that thought he was a flasher.
“She kept on looking at me in a very intense way, the same look you would give to someone who has done or is about to do something wrong… At the end of my commute, as I was getting off and the eyes of the lady kept following me, she looked down and checked out my crotch. I looked at her and said ‘lady, I’m not a flasher’,” he posted.
Women are constant targets of sex criminals in the city’s subway system, and so it is understandable that a little precaution goes a long way.
In fact, a survey by the Manhattan borough president’s office that deals with sexual harassment in the subways, about 63% of the 1,790 participants said that they felt harassed in some way, shape or form during their commute. The survey specifically focused on groping, lewd acts and unwelcomed advances.
Now that women are finding that their camera phones can bring to justice these perpetrators, one can’t help but wonder whether a simple natural erection may get many guys in trouble.
Some even argue that if there is no oversight on who’s who, many innocent guys may end up in the Most Wanted Flasher’s List of the subway system and featured in the news.
No news is bad news… though.

C’mon man… this guy must be crazy. Maybe it was just a case of the hornies and the lady was into him. Who knows!
